While I usually tell you people about new or more uncommon products, I thought of telling you this time about how to get a product, or at least try. This following article is about the recently launched living science competition.

The (So what? So Everything) campaign is shouting at the UK public to provide feedback on what impact science has had on people's lives, by launching the aforementioned competition. Nationwide, the competition targets finding the nation's most inspiring health stories that will prove the life-changing impact of medical science.

Participants in the living science competition will have the chance to grab this and that from the 1,500 pounds worth of photographic prizes, aside from the opportunity of becoming the face of living science.

The request of the competition is personal photographs and accompanying story that would illustrate how science has benefitted one's health or that of someone close. Either saving a life, helping a beloved one to get back on his or her feet, or enabling people to achieve things that were previously considered impossible, medical science and innovations in healthcare have benefitted millions of people.

Launching the competition, Science Minister Lord Drayson said, “We're often moved by images of medical science in action, from ultrasounds of unborn babies to wounded soldiers learning to walk again. I hope this competition spurs the UK public to share photographs showing what science means to them."

Winner's prize includes a Canon digital SLR EOS 500D, complete with the 18-55 F3.5-5.6 IS kit lens and complemented by an EF-S 55-250 F3.5-5.6 IS lens, as well as a photography course. The winner of the competition will also be given the chance of sharing their story with the nation, aiding in pointing out the UK science research and treatments that bettered people's lives. More information on the competition can be found on the official web page.
