Nowadays console gaming is becoming an important business, more and more devices targeting this crowd, so Logitech's Wireless Headset F540 comes to take a stab at this market by adding the possibility of connecting up to three different sources so you can hook up your PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii, all at the same time.
This is made possible thanks to an
wireless base station with three analog inputs that also doubles as a charging station for Logitech's headset, the company promising up to 10 hours of play time on a single charge.
Changing between input sources is also extremely easy since Logitech placed an input selector, along with independent voice, game volume controls and microphone mute, right on the headset.
Although not as convenient as a in-line control unit this will also work, but learning to distinguish between buttons without taking a look at them will surely take some time.
Other features include a noise-canceling microphone and 40mm laser tuned drivers and an adjustable padded headband.
"We set out to build a great wireless
headset for people who like to play at night, but need to keep it quiet so they don't disturb anyone trying to sleep," said Elliott Chin, Logitech's senior manager of product marketing for gaming.
"The result is an amazing audio experience for console gamers, no matter when they like to play.
The
Logitech Wireless Headset F540 delivers superior sound coupled with voice chat and does it all without a single cable running between you and your console."
This headset is expected to be available in the U.S. in October while Europe will get it in November 2010 for a suggested retail price of $149.99, a bit to much if you were to ask me.
