In a totally unexpected turn of events, it appears that M-Edge, renowned for making an honest living out of accessorizing portable gadgets such as ebook readers, has released a plethora (13) of iPad sleeves and protective cases. I know, I still haven't gotten over the shock myself and I've known about this for about ten minutes.

You are probably used to this kind of release by now, but wait until you see all the accessories that M-Edge has in store for the iPad. Their newly launched family of protective cases covers all possible tastes and needs of the regular iPad user, with series designed for the relaxed, sporty users, contemporary sleeves and even a line dedicated to the professionals out there. Do you want to hear the prices now, or perhaps I should let M-Edge officials tell you more about their accessories?

“Data suggests that more than 30% of iPad users are likely to use the device as a platform for reading books, newspapers and magazines,” commented Patrick Mish, CEO of M-Edge Accessories. “Our four years of laser-like focus on enhancing the eReading experience through innovative and stylish eReader accessories has offered us key customer insights that we’ve leveraged in creating this fresh, novel, and industry-leading iPad product line-up.”

So, these new protective cases from M-Edge will be inspired by their Kindle or Nook accessories; this doesn't mean they will not be good for the iPad, you really should give them a chance. As I have promised you, here are some prices for the professional line, which contains the Executive Jacket, Platform Jacket, method Portfolio and the Page Sleeve.

Three of them cost $49.99, except for the Method Portfolio model, which is $10 more expensive. Keep in mind that these four models will be available in eight different colors. The Sport Line of “iPad clothing” also has four models, which are a bit more rugged than stylish, with enhanced screen and sand protection, for instance. The Leisure and Latitude Jackets are worth $39.99, the Touring Sleeve $29.99 and the Journey Bag is $44.99. You will have to discover the Contemporary Line of sleeves all by yourselves on the producer's official website.

PS: They also have an iPad stand.
