While the devices from the Sony Reader family are not exactly very famous on the portable e-book readers' market (well, they're less popular than Amazon's Kindle, that's for sure, despite being available on much more local markets), it seems that they attract enough attention for certain manufacturers to start designing accessories specifically for them. And that's exactly the case with M-Edge, which has just launched a new line of colorful and protective jackets for the Sony Reader PRS-505 and Sony Reader PRS-700.

The first fresh fashion accessory from M-Edge is the Executive Jacket, whose main feature is represented by the fact that's manufactured out of genuine leather. Available for both the PRS-505 and PRS-700 Readers, the Executive Jacket opens like a book and offers full device protection in a plush padded case. Executive Jackets for Sony’s 505 and 700 Readers are available in a variety of stylish colors, including mocha, smooth black, sapphire blue, marbled red, jade green, and saddle brown, among others.

The Leisure Jacket for Sony Readers, on the other hand, targets mostly those users who enjoy summertime reading at the beach or by the pool. Designed to work with both the PRS-505 and PRS-700 Sony Readers, this stylish, padded case features a read-through, clear vinyl cover, which helps provide protection against moisture, dirt, dust and sand.

To give Sony Reader owners even more options, M-Edge has also launched the Platform Jacket, which is modeled after a traditional bookstand and allows users to read their devices upright and hands-free, while still offering full protection in a padded and sturdy case. The Platform Jacket is offered in genuine leather and will come in 12 cover models.

The M-Edge Executive Jacket are available on the market right now and sell for around 30 US dollars, while the Leisure Jacket and Platform Jacket models are slated to arrive later on this summer and retail for 30 and 40 US dollars, respectively.
