It looks like
MSI didn't bother stopping at
the X-Slim X600 Pro point with the addition to the X-Slim series, but also went on and added the X-Slim X350 to the already renowned brand. This uses the same Intel CULV energy saving platform like the X600, with a high performing Core 2 Duo processor.
Getting more into the design aspect, the X350 comes in a diamond motif finish that was accomplished by etching that is both an eye catching feature and a touch catching, because I bet it is very nice to feel the glittering lozenge pattern on the casing surface. Just like the whole X-Slim series, as the name says it (extra slim, duh), the X350 boasts the hallmarks of slim design, with a less than one inch thickness, and a weight of just 1.5 kilograms.
Now, let's get technical, shall we? The X350 packs all the hardware on an Intel GS45 + ICH9M-SFF chipset and displays the media content on a 13.4-inch display, but with no mentioning of the screen resolution and gets visual data through the GMA 4500MHD. Users will find two memory bank slots for the random access memory, but will probably be a little disappointed because of the maximum 2GB of DDR2 with a 667MHz bus frequency.
With 2 HD speakers, one 1.3M webcam, gigabit LAN, optional Bluetooth and built-in 802.11 b/g/draft-n, the X-Slim X350 notebook will surely comply with the need of any road traveler. As for storage, users will be able to choose between a 320 and a 500GB SATA 2.5" hard disk drive. Last but not least, the battery is featured in four or eight-cell flavors, at the customer's choice. Availability and pricing are yet to be announced.
