Although mountain bikes are indeed some of the toughest rides around, they're not really one might call “all-terrain vehicle”. However, the FORTUNE HANEBRINK is really worthy of bearing this name, since this electricity-driven moving contraption will most likely be able to withstand just about any type of environment and weather.

Developed by national champion cyclist, bicycle innovator, and NASA aerospace engineer, Dan Hanebrink, the FORTUNE HANEBRINK is described as an all-terrain hybrid vehicle and is fitted with five lithium ion batteries, which allow it to provide a run time of over 6 hours, more than 100 miles of riding, while the batteries are fully recharged in 3 hours. The HANEBRINK reaches speeds up to 20 mph and employs 14 speed-gearing with a low range that is easily capable of carrying up to 300 pounds of bulky cargo up steep terrain or deep into inaccessible areas.

The main reason why this thing is so sturdy is related to the fact that it sports a frame made from 6061- T6 Aircraft Seamless Aluminum Tubing, while the fork is a dual crown triple clamp with 10 inches adjustable travel. The 8 x 21 inches aluminum rear rack and 20 x 8 inches tubeless tires also bring an important contribution to the bike's overall level of stability.

This one of a kind electric bike is powered by a 600 Watt Brushless Electric Motor, accompanied by a controller that regulates the speed between throttle and motor. Furthermore, HANEBRINK comes equipped with hydraulic disk breaks, cranks, chains and deraileur from Shimano, a carbon fiber seatpost and WTB seat, while the wheels and hubs are of Hanebrink's own making.

The FORTUNE HANEBRINK won't really cost a fortune, but it's expensive enough, selling for somewhere in the vicinity of 5,500 US dollars.
