While at some point in the past, Memorex used to be one of the world's most respectable data storage solutions' manufacturers, things changed quite a lot after it was purchased by Imation, the brand being used mostly in order to promote various consumer electronics and entertainment-related products.
And, in fact, that's exactly the case with the latest
Memorex products to make an appearance on the market, namely a new line of iPod- and iPhone-compatible audio products that includes six new audio devices.
The first two products we'll talk about as follows are the PartyCube Sound System and PartyCube CD Sound System, featuring integrated collapsible handles, lightweight lithium-ion rechargeable batteries and durable rubberized bottoms, but also recessed
docking cradles that charge your iPod or iPhone, while also protecting the device from being scratched or damaged.
In addition to playing music and charging all iPhone and iPod devices, the PartyCube CD Sound System (MSRP: $149.99) also includes a top-loading CD player, digital AM/FM tuner, line-in jack and rechargeable lithium-ion battery for up to eight hours of functioning time.
The second audio system mentioned above, namely the PartyCube Sound System ditches the CD player, but also features multi-directional speakers and a rechargeable lithium-ion battery, a digital FM tuner and line-in jack, all for just 100 US Dollars.
Moving forward through Memorex's offerings, we come across the TagAlong Portable Boombox (MSRP: $59.99) that can really come in handy for playing some music outdoors, as it features an integrated handle, digital FM radio and recessed docking station for your iPod or iPhone.
The company targets ultra-portability with its PurePlay Portable Speaker, a clutch-style speaker system that can be easily folded and packed, while its sleek, durable design keeps your speakers protected.
The PurePlay Portable Speaker has a MSRP of around 70 US dollars.
Last, but certainly not least, come the Clock Radio Dual Alarm (MSRP: $69.99) and Clock Radio Mini Alarm (MSRP: $49.99), that feature a one-of-a-kind “lay down docking” station that allows your iPod or iPhone to play as it charges, while cradling your device from being scratched when you go to hit snooze.
The Clock Radio Dual Alarm lets users set two different wake-up times, the process of setting time and alarm functions being quite fast and easy thanks to backlit buttons that walk you through the process.
Front and side speakers offer ample wake-up sound, while the six-option dimmer switch, sleep timer and battery backup provide the functionality families look for in a dual AM/FM alarm clock.
The Clock Radio Mini Alarm, on the other hand, offers a combination of
iPhone and iPod compatibility and is ideal for smaller spaces.
A feature-rich alarm clock in a compact package, the Clock Radio Mini Alarm includes a sleep timer, dimmer function and backup battery for time.
