While we've heard about long-life flashlights before, a company called Metabo is really upping the ante in this field by launching a halogen flashlight that offers up to 9.8 hours per charge, which, by all accounts, is quite an impressive feat.
The new compact ULA 14.4-18 Halogen
Flashlight features an ergonomic, easy-to-grip handle as well as a high-intensity 4.4 W halogen bulb for working in tight, dark spaces.
Compatible with all 14.4 V and 18 V Li-Power Compact, Li-Power Plus and Li-Power Extreme battery packs, the new flashlight effectively complements Metabo's new PowerMasterSeries of cordless power tools.
The ULA 14.4-18 features a swivel head that locks into six different positions, making it
easy to see in constricted areas.
A handy focusable light beam adjusts to illuminate the exact area being worked on.
However, as mentioned before, the flashlight's main selling point is represented by the battery life, the Li-Ion power pack providing close the 10 hours of functioning life (not exactly a surprise, really, given the fact that the chassis of this lantern was designed for power tools that typically require a lot more power than a simple bulb does).
Unfortunately, pricing details for this flashlight have not been provided, so if you want to find out more on this topic, you'll have to contact the company directly.
