Redmond, Washington-based Microsoft announced today the expansion of its hardware line with the introduction of three new products, all of which make use of the company’s innovative BlueTrack technology. The three fresh devices include the Wireless Mobile Mouse 6000, which will provide users with Microsoft's first nano transceiver, the full-sized ambidextrous Wireless Mouse 5000, and a new keyboard and mouse combo, dubbed Wireless Desktop 3000. According to the maker, these gadgets have been designed to work on almost any surface, thanks to the adoption of BlueTrack technology.
“Microsoft Hardware has always been at the forefront of innovation - from the creation of optical technology 10 years ago to the launch of the world's first Bluetooth desktop in 2002, and now with BlueTrack Technology,” said Debbie Uttecht, product marketing manager for Microsoft Hardware. “We firmly believe BlueTrack Technology gives you the ability to work virtually anywhere your PC does and will be the tracking technology of the future. We are excited to extend it down our product line.”
One of the main innovations delivered by Microsoft’s latest Wireless Mobile Mouse 6000 is the company’s first mouse to boast a nano transceiver, which is just 0.8 centimeters long and can be easily plugged into the USB port or stored in the mouse itself. In addition, the new Wireless Mobile Mouse 6000 offers an ambidextrous design.
Aside from the two BlueTrack-enabled mice, Microsoft also announced the fresh Wireless Desktop 3000, which pairs the Wireless Keyboard 3000 with the company’s new Wireless Mouse 5000. The solution takes advantage of a 2.4GHz wireless technology for optimum responsiveness and performance.
According to the software giant, its new Mobile Mouse 6000, Wireless Mouse 5000, and Wireless Desktop 3000 will become available next month for estimated retail prices of $49.95, $39.95, and $69.95, while the standalone Wireless Keyboard 3000 will cost $39.95.
