Most of you probably know that Microsoft, besides being one of the most important names in the software industry, is also actively involved in the computer peripherals' market, its mice and keyboards being among the most reliable and popular such products on the market. However, it would seem that the company from Redmond is keen on expanding its lineup, since it has just introduced a whole new accessory for notebooks, the Notebook Cooling Base, as well as an upgrade to its Arc Mouse series.
First and foremost, let's see what this Cooling Base is all about. Hence, this cooling solution features a built-in fan and efficient cooling channel to prevent overheating. The base is easy to use with any notebook and is contoured to rest on both desks and users’ laps, providing a comfortable typing angle.
Additionally, the Notebook Cooling Base has a slim, portable design at only 1.16 inches thick, a cable management clip to allow the cable to be stored when not in use, and is USB-powered, similar to most products of this type on the market. The base will be available in white and black, in order to suite the most common notebook colors.
As mentioned right from the start, besides this cooling solution, Microsoft has also upgraded its Arc Mouse line, by adding the following colors to the availability list: deep olive green, marine blue, eggplant purple and frost white. Otherwise, the features the Arc Mouse has become famous for (including the power saving solution and the connectivity solution) remain pretty much the same.
According to the company's statement, the Notebook Cooling Base will be available in July for an estimated retail price of $29.95, while the Arc Mouse in special edition colors will become available starting this month for an estimated retail price of $49.95.
