Even though the weather is not quite proper for such a drink, beer is still nice once in a while, but when the weather is just fine, you need a refill once in a while. Wouldn't it be nice if you had someone to refill your glass every time you want so? Luckily, such a thing should appear as soon as possible, and even more to that,
it will come with one of the best beers, a favorite of mine, namely Heineken.
What you see pictured above and to the left is the Heineken Bot, carefully beer crafted by the people at Middlesex University that does just that. I mean, you only have to raise your hand above it and it will stop from wandering around the table, or bar. When the Bot stops, it will wave its tray (the one where the glass is placed) to ask for the glass that it senses and fills it, after which it will wave the tray again to tell you to take the glass back, and then be on its way on the pre-programmed path.
This looks very fun to have around, as long as one does not take it out of the closet when too many people are around, because
we all know what happens when men drink too much, and it would be a shame for the little guy to be dismounted, but let us see when or if this thing comes out anyway. I would definitely want one of these, to have wandering around and serve my guests with beer, or juice or other drinks. I really hope, or the English at least do, tea can be included in one of these.
I can but imagine placing the tea cup on the tray and the little robot pouring the tea and then giving it back. Of course, it isn't as much useful, as it is entertaining. Considering the ones who built this - who ever said University has nothing to do with beer? It now automates serving as you can see.
