What do you expect to receive when purchasing a “Prestige Edition” game? A cool manual, and extra “making of” DVD, maybe a poster or two and a few in-game items that other versions do not have, right? I mean, what else could they give you with your “Prestige Edition” buy? A military vehicle? Well... no, but if you choose the Modern Warfare 2 “Prestige Edition,” you might be getting a pair of night vision goggles.

Yes, you read it correctly, the Prestige Edition will include the following items: one metallic collector's edition game, one book containing artwork and details about the characters that will be following you on your journey to keep the “free world” safe and also a sculptured head that functions as a stand for a pair of working night vision goggles. You know, for when you're running covert ops in a far away jungle or stalking that cute girl that you'll probably never have the courage to talk to.

As for the Call of Duty, well, even if you are a casual-type gamer, you have probably heard of it. Call of Duty revolutionized the First Person Shooter genre by creating a near-cinematic portrayal of one of the greatest and bloodiest wars in history: World War II. The characters were real and believable and so was the story. You were a soldier, a hero, a friend and many times a victim. But no matter the situation, the game managed to keep you interested. Needless to say, CoD wrote history.

Modern Warfare concentrates on the adventures of a team dealing with problems in our present. As for the night vision goggles, they let you see in the dark by basically intensifying the light sources around you. I am curious about the price of the Prestige Edition Call of Duty Modern Warfare game since the Collector's Edition is about 80 USD. Adding night vision goggles might raise the stakes a little too high for my liking.
