Monster is quite renowned for rolling out some pretty sweet audio/video accessories, most of which, however, are available at some pretty high price points (compared to their actual value). And that's exactly what one might have to expect from the company's newly launched Clarity HD line, which feature only high-end, high-performance products (or at least that's what Monster claims).
The first two Clarity HD products we'll talk about today are the Precision Micro Bluetooth Speaker and the iClarity HD Precision Micro
Bluetooth Speakers, designed for anyone who wants to significantly enhance the quality of their music playback, as well as the on-the-go capabilities of their iPhones, BlackBerries and other devices.
The ultra-compact listening solutions deliver Bluetooth 2.0 audio, which combines with advanced Monster audio and digital signal processing for clean, best-in-class wireless stereo sound. In addition, built-in microphones allow for hands-free dialing, while the Lithium Ion batteries provide up to 5 hours of quality listening on a single charge. Thanks to the built-in noise-canceling microphone, with conference calling and speakerphone capabilities, both models can be successfully employed for instant conference calls, voice/video chats on Skype, or hands-free calls.
With a range of up to 33 feet, the Bluetooth speakers deliver, according to Monster, “room-filling stereo sound that belies their small size.” The enhanced audio is made possible through the inclusion of the company’s dual 35 mm full-range driver and passive radiator subwoofer design for sonic clarity and powerful bass response.
The ultra-compact form factor of the Clarity HD Bluetooth speakers also makes them extremely easy to carry around and use with a wide range of products, including iPods, iPhones and iPads, BlackBerries or laptop computers.
Wireless music streaming is made possible by
Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP) but, for increased user flexibility, the speakers may also be used with a wired connection using a standard 3.5 mm headphone port, which is ideal for products that do not have Bluetooth support such as iPods, MP3 players, etc.
Pricing for these first Clarity HD products is rather high, since we're talking about $119.95 for both the Precision Micro Bluetooth Speaker and the iClarity HD Precision Micro Bluetooth Speaker. But, then again, we were sort of expecting this all along, weren’t we?
