If there's one particular market that's thriving on the sales of iPhones and iPods, that's accessories, seeing more and more products arrive in stores with every passing week. However, it would seem that the rate at which new Bluetooth accessories for the aforementioned Apple products are released, that might increase even more, due to an interesting development by CSR.

Thus, CSR, an important provider of multifunction connectivity and location platforms, has just announced the availability of a development kit based on BlueCore5-Multimedia that enables rapid time-to-market of Bluetooth-enabled Works with iPhone and Made for iPod certified accessories. Practically, what this kit does is enable developers to take advantage of the streaming music over Bluetooth capability available on Apple's iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS and second generation iPod touch running iPhone OS 3.0.

Based on CSR’s BlueCore5-Multimedia chip, the development kit includes a development board and software to enable the rapid development of Bluetooth accessories for Apple’s iPhone and iPod touch. Just how rapid... well, that's probably up to every developer's capabilities, technical know-how, experience, and, of course, we must not forget the most important aspect: funding.
