I don't know just how many of you have ever heard of Dance Dance Revolution, or DDR. This dance-gaming system was some sort of Guitar Hero thing, but the player used to dance (or actually, jump around) on some specific pads in order to gain more points. Well, although the DDR trend is no longer that popular, the concept has been picked up by the Y-Motivate company and turned into one very interesting sports machine, the Motivatrix MX10 Workout Master.

Thus, this device will allow users to carry out complete work out programs, while being “supervised” by a virtual trainer, who will be helping them improve their movements and their workout. For this reason, the device has been equipped with a 32-inch high-definition display, which lets you keep a very close eye on the trainer's moves, in order to follow them exactly. If you want a more private session, then you can always tune in to the device via a simple FM receiver (since MX10 sports its own built-in FM transmitter).

Besides the sensors built-in the elevated stepping pad, the device also sports a detection system that allows it to “read” arm movement as well, since, after all, arms are also a very important part in any workout. Plus, it will also record your fitness routine and inform you just about how many calories you've burned in each particular session.

Another very interesting aspect worth mentioning about the Motivatrix is the fact that it can be very easily connected to the Internet and allows users from various places around the world to compete against each other. Now, I'm not exactly trying to predict anything here, but if this thing happens to enjoy a high level of success, then perhaps it might even influence the future of certain competitions, who knows.

Anyway, leaving the future aside, let's get a little more down to Earth and talk about money. So, in case you want to get one of these systems for your home (or for your gym, if you're the owner of such an establishment), then you should know that the Motivatrix MX10 Workout Master sells for an approximate 12,500 US dollars, which is a little too much for almost anyone nowadays.
