As some of you will certainly remember, we've covered a while back the appearance of a mysterious Windows Phone 7 handset by Asus, and it seems that the device in question is well on its way to the market, since it appeared online yet again, this time fully featured within a video presentation.
So, while back in early August we were talking about a simple leaked photo of the respective smartphone, things are a now a lot more complex, since the leaked information regarding the brand-new handset comes from a 12-minute long video, available courtesy of the lockergnome website.
The video was shot quite recently at the Gnomedex event and is, in fact, a demo of the Windows Phone 7 operating system from Microsoft, so the focus is set on the software, rather than the handset, but at least we get to see a lot of the device, as well as the way in which it behaves in somewhat of a real-life situation.
Unfortunately, while the video demo does paint quite a pretty picture of this thing (I mean, just look at the display, we're most certainly talking about AMOLED here), no technical information whatsoever has been provided, which actually leaves as sort of “drooling” for more.
Of course, it's still hard to say whether we're talking just about a prototype or the RTM version of Asus' WP7 handset and whether this device will be an Asus, a Gamin, a Garmin-Asus, a nuvifone or who knows what else, but at least we know that tha company's working on it and we can expect it to join the flood of Windows Phone 7 handsets that will certainly arrive on the market later on this year.
We are just a few, but there are many of you, Softpedia users, out there. That's why we thought it would be a good idea to create an email address for you to help us a little in finding gadgets we missed. Interesting links are bound to be posted with recognition going mainly to those who submit. The address is .
