Although most of us settle for using TN panel monitors for our everyday computing needs, more demanding users that want accurate color reproduction would be much more interested in a IPS display, just like the 23 inch NEC MultiSync PA231W designed to meet the demands of the CAD/CAM and DTP sector.
Featuring a 16:9 Full HD resolution, this display comes with Digital Uniformity Control and 3D LUT technologies in order to offer precise color space emulation as well as even brightness and color distribution.
Furthermore, this monitor also comes with an height adjustable stand that can also be orientated in either portrait or landscape mode while its picture-in-picture function allows users to display two parallel video feeds.
Connectivity wise, the PA231W comes with VGA, DVI-D and DisplayPort interfaces while also adding a programmable USB hub to the mix, to for an almost complete feature set since HDMI is the only connectivity option that seems to be missing.

NEC says this will have an “attractive price/performance ratio” no infos regarding pricing have been released, although the Japanese company says the PA231W be available from September 2010, so expect it to hit the streets really soon.
