As you've probably figured out already, we're not going through the best period we'll ever see as far as the economy is concerned, and for this reason, it's perhaps a very good idea to think budget. And yes, that means no more fancy extra features we never actually need or use in the gadgets we purchase, no more buying from the first store we go in, and a lot more care for every particular thing we spend money on.

For this reason, Navman's F15 might really be quite a winner, since it provides exactly what a driver needs (directions, by using the GPS system), without its price tag reaching some sky-high value. The device is offered in a partnership with RadioShack, and sells for just around 100 US dollars, which makes it one of the most affordable products currently available on the market.

Moreover, adding even more value to the F15, the PND from Navman is accompanied by pretty much everything the user might need in order to install it in their vehicle: an adhesive dashboard disc, an in-car windshield mount and, of course, an in-car charger. Of course, there's also some documentation included in the package, but let's face it, this thing is so simple it's very unlikely that you'll ever need to use the manual.

Now, as mentioned earlier, the F15 is a budget product. This means that, beside the navigation features, there's not much else to look at, since the PND is pretty basic. Hence, we're dealing with a 3.5-inch touchscreen (no significant info on the available resolution), used for viewing the navigation maps (US and Puerto Rico) and the numerous pre-loaded POIs. As expected, just like with most other similar products you'll find on the market, the Navman F15 makes very good use of the SiRFInstantFixII GPS chipset, for very accurate and fast location detection.

We are just a few, but there are many of you, Softpedia users, out there. That's why we thought it would be a good idea to create an email address for you to help us a little in finding gadgets we missed. Interesting links are bound to be posted with recognition going mainly to those who submit. The address is .
