To be perfectly honest, there's really nothing out there like a good ol' piece of Apple-related
rumor. Sure, we've come across rumors pertaining to other companies' products as well, but as far as we're concerned, these bits and pieces of information related to the company from Cupertino tend to generate controversy and create hype in a manner no other can (not to mention getting techies and/or hardcore Apple fans drooling, for example).
And since the Apple rumor mill never stops and never rests, we've got some hot novelties for you, courtesy of
iLounge, who's quoting a highly-reliable source. Naturally, they also point out the fact that, as far as Apple is concerned, every single rumor has to be taken with a grain of salt, so that's also what we suggest you should do: don't get over-excited with this news, because you might wind-up to be quite disappointed.
Anyway, back to the business at hand. So, the aforementioned source claims that the first new products to be launched by Apple will be three
new iPod models, namely a refresh of the iPod touch, a brand-new iPod nano and also a replacement for the iPod shuffle that will come with a small touchscreen display.
Better yet, it seems that Apple is also working in a new, smaller
iPad, which will apparently sport a 7-inch display (a lot closer to the wide majority of Internet tablets currently available on the market), and whose availability date is estimated either for late 2010 or early 2011. Incidentally, within the same time-frame, Apple is rumored to launch the iPhone 5, the successor to the troublesome current-gen iPhone (although, to be perfectly honest, that seems quite unlikely).
Yeah, it's all quite interesting, but only time will ultimately tell just how many of these rumors will turn out to be true, or at least fall within the time-frame pointed out by the source.
We are just a few, but there are many of you, Softpedia users, out there.
