Of course, if you are the type of guy that sits behind the desk all day long and the outdoors seems like a wild and scary place, the fresh watch developed by Casio will not mean anything to you. On the other hand, for the adventurers who like to live their life to the fullest and spend as much time outside as they can, always looking for new places to explore, the Pathfinder series from Casio is always a good subject of discussion.

Casio has announced another model of Pathfinder watch today and it is called the PAW5000-1. “We are very thrilled to introduce the newest addition to the Pathfinder line,” said Shigenori Itoh, vice president of Casio’s Timepiece Division. “The Pathfinder’s three-hand triple sensor feature allows for seamless navigation in any condition and its slim styling provides a comfortable feel for every man’s wrist.”

The PAW5000-1 comes with all the usual technologies found on the Pathfinder watches, such as digital compass, altimeter, barometer and thermometer. A new feature of this model is the unique second hand that acts as a compass needle. You will not be confusing with the hour and minute hands, as they have a different design in order to stand out.

The comfort of this watch during long, exhausting outdoor adventures is provided by its resin band and overall lightness. It is also self-charging and self-adjusting so that you don't have to worry about it working properly, whenever you have other important things to do on your expeditions. Though this watch is solar powered, it also features a power saving mode, which assures its long lasting functioning time. This mode allows it to preserve energy if not exposed to light for longer periods of time. The MSRP for it is of $450. Via Akihabaranews.
