Med students are receiving some help from Elsevier, with their
learning methods. They now have a lot of extra online content that they can benefit from anytime, from their own e-book readers. The fresh platform is called Pageburst and has a few helpful add-ons that will make their lives easier.
"With Pageburst, we can unlock higher levels of performance by engaging students with interactive and immersive course materials in a variety of formats," said John King, Ed.D., Senior Vice President and Chief Academic Officer at Lincoln Educational Services. "Students can now spend class and exam prep times more
efficiently and easily organize course materials to match their program's curriculum with integrated searchable content from a robust collection of the most current Elsevier titles."
Because Pageburst is an internet application, its users can employ it at home or from any portable, internet supporting device. It offers text-to-speech, integrated multimedia and instructor grade books. It will work like a social network as well, students, teachers and other health workers being able to share info via the Pageburst platform. Since it is very user-friendly, anybody who is in the health business can have access to Elsevier’s science books via the Pageburst. Or to any of its other helpful add-ons.
"Moving from print to digital will improve engagement, increase learning and enhance the value of the content to help students succeed throughout their careers as health professionals," stated Sally Schrefer, Managing Director, Nursing and Health Professions, Elsevier Health Sciences. "We listened to our customers and created a breakthrough solution that meets their unique education needs and surpasses their expectations of what digital textbook platforms can deliver."
Students will probably appreciate the estimated cost reduction of 20% from reading the books they need in a digital format instead of the classic print. More than 550 of Elsevier’s most popular titles are available via Pageburst.
