JVC has been on quite a roll at this year's International CES, outing a very impressive product lineup formed mostly of camcorders, speakers and
car audio systems. In fact, JVC went pretty wild as far as the last category mentioned above is concerned, launching a very large number of such solutions, including here the device you'll read about as follows, namely the KD-R810 Bluetooth Wireless Technology CD receiver with dual USB ports.
So, what we're talking about here is a 1-DIN
device designed for the car after-market audio systems' segment, whose main selling point is, as you might have guessed, the fact that it allows users to connect not just one iPod, iPhone or other multimedia player to the audio system, but two, which is a feature quite a few people (especially those who don't really agree on the type of music they're going to listen to) might enjoy.
Besides the twin USB ports, the KD-R810 from JVC also offers users Bluetooth connectivity, practically doubling as a speakerphone. The included wired microphone delivers flexible settings for clear communication, while the Phone Book Access Profile (PBAP) lets users automatically access the phone book without transfer. However, should they desire to do so, users can also manually transfer up to 400 numbers from compatible cell phones.
Additionally, the advanced version of Variable-Color Illumination lets drives select two separate colors for the keys and display from over 30,000 x 30,000 color combinations. Plus, the KD-R810 features advanced EQ settings, which boosts the frequency ranges usually absorbed in the car, and adjusts the sound to best fit the human ear. And since we've reached this issue, we'll also have to mention that the audio system reaches a maximum power output of 50 watts via its four channels, while the continuous power output (RMS) is set at 40 watts x 4 channels at 4 ohms.
The KD-R810 Bluetooth CD receiver with dual USB ports from
JVC should arrive in stores in February, the MSRP being set at around $219.95.
