Come on, let's face it, the reason why most people out there buy a compact digital camera is to take quick snapshots of things going on around them (a.k.a. pieces of their everyday lives) and then quickly upload them to their various social-networking accounts, whether we're talking about Facebook, Hi5, Flickr, etc. Of course, videos and YouTube are also included in this mix.
That's why it should come as no surprise that manufacturers of digital cameras have also adapted their offerings to match this reality, and this is also the case with one of the latest products from
Kodak to arrive on the market, namely the EASYSHARE M580 model, which provides a couple of features modern users (and especially younger ones) will most likely find attractive.
According to Kodak, this
camera's most important selling point is represented by the Share button, which allows users to tag pictures directly from the camera for e-mailing, or uploading to YouTube, Facebook, Flickr and KODAK Gallery sites, plus e-mail.
The small digital camera comes equipped with an 8X SCHNEIDER-KREUZNACH Optical Zoom Lens (28 mm wide-angle) and sports a 14-megapixel sensor. Moreover, it packs a lot of features meant to help photographers improve the quality of their shots, such as the Kodak Smart Capture and Face Recognition.
The Easyshare M580 also sports a 3-inch display, which allows users to easily review
photos and videos. And since we're on this issue, we'll also have to point out that the device is capable of recording 720p videos at 30 fps (as any modern camera should).
Pricing for the social-networking friendly KODAK EASYSHARE M580 Compact Digital Camera is set at around 200 US dollars, which is more or less within the market limits for this particular type of gadgets.
