Without a doubt, the iPad will be quite a hot item this school season, just about all the students who can afford one (and who actually need such a device) getting ready to hit the campuses with Apple's tablet in their backpack. For this reason, the number of
iPad accessories made available for the back-to-school season is on the rise, the latest bunch coming from a traditional manufacturer of accessories for Apple products, Speck.
The company's collection includes three
brand-new products, as well as a couple of older models, which we'll talk about (separately) as follows.
The first new model is the SeeThru Satin, a soft-touch coated hard-shell case, which allows users to flip back the docking panel and dock the iPad with the case still on. This case is available in Blue, Black and Purple for $49.95.
Next in line comes the SeeThru, which is also dockable, but it's only available in a clear (transparent) version and sells for $49.95, followed by the PixelSkin model, a rubberized iPad case with a tactile pixel texture. The PixelSkin is available in Black, Indigo and Green and sells for $39.95.
Beside these new models,
Speck also offers customers some “oldies but goldies”, such as their CandyShell model, an iPad case with a thin, hard-shell coating that's available in Batwing Black, NightShade Purple, GoGo White and sells for $49.95, or the $49.95 Fitted hard-shell case with matte soft-touch coating.
The other models in the company's lineup include the $24.95 ShieldView, the PixelShield, which features a textured neoprene exterior with integrated handle and sells for $39.95, as well as the PixelSleeve PLUS, a stretchy neoprene skin with a tough, flexible reinforced middle layer, thay also sells for $39.95.
