Founded in 1998, Pandigital recognized the need to bridge the gap between digital cameras and traditional photo frames, and today it is one of the industry leaders worldwide in the manufacturing of digital photo frames.
Keeping in line with its values of elegance, simplicity, and functionality, Pandigital has sold over four million units, validating the work and effort put into designing and creating each Pandigital photo frame. Its key feature is that it tries to bring digital content into consumers’ everyday lives with innovative, leading edge technology that utilizes home decor styling and intuitive, simplified user interfaces.
Its latest releases, the two PanTouch Clear digital photo frames, clearly stand out from the crowd because of their dramatic new design, which creates the perception of floating digital images. This effect is given by the fact that the eye-catching 800x600 high-resolution display appears to be floating in the surrounding glass.
Despite the fact that the look of these frames is unique and contemporary, they will fit into any traditional home, too. A plus to the entire aspect is the fact that even the stand in back is clear, for an unobstructed view. Also, they are very easy to use.
But this is not all that's special about the PanTouch Clear frames. Thus, they feature leading-edge touch technology, which “prints” invisible circuits on fingerprint-resistant, clear glass. The advantage is that customers can now benefit from intuitive full touch-screen capabilities while still enjoying the premium home decor-style look of the glass on the Pandigital Digital Photo Frame line.
"Pandigital's position as the leading digital photo frame provider comes from delivering products that use the latest in unparalleled technology in ways that improve and simplify the customer experience, and we've done that again with our new Pandigital PanTouch Clear frames," said Dean Finnegan, CEO and founder, Pandigital. "These new frames look incredibly sophisticated and unique while offering the simplest user interface on a digital photo frame in the industry.”
The Pandigital PanTouch Clear frames come in two sizes – 8-inch and 7-inch. They both feature a vibrant LCD with a 4:3 true photo aspect ratio and 800x600 resolution, including 1GB of storage, which allows up to 6400 images to be stored using Pandigital's memory optimization mode.
The PanTouch Clear models have a 6-in-1 digital media card reader (Compact Flash, SD, XD, MS/MSPro, MMC), so customers don't need to connect to a computer to view their photos, but they can do so if they want, via the USB connection available. Moreover, they feature wireless and Bluetooth compatibility, can view JPEG photos, play video and MP3 music files.
The 8-inch digital photo frame retails at approximately 140 US dollars, while the 7-inch model sells for almost 120 US dollars. They both come with a dark espresso wood frame, as well as white and charcoal interchangeable mats.
