Most of us listen to music on our portable players or PMPs especially on our way to work or while doing sports. For this reason, it's generally a good idea for such portable devices to be pretty resilient to shocks, and that's exactly the case with the particular device you'll read about as follows, namely the new V-Sports media player from Visual Land.
Since, as its name says it, this thing has been designed specifically to be used outside or while being engaged in some sort of sports-related activity, it features a strong and sturdy build meant to withstand shocks. Sadly, the aesthetic aspect has been somewhat affected, since, to be honest, the V-Sport is not exactly the most attractive portable multimedia player out there.
However, the gadget provides interesting features, probably one of its major selling points being the extensive level of file compatibility. Thus, the V-Sport supports several of the most popular video formats (FLV, AVI, RM, RMVB, DivX, Xvid), various audio formats (MP3, WMA, RA, OGG, FLAC, AAC, WAV), image formats (JPG, GIF, BMP) and even eBooks (in TXT format).
Moreover, in order to view all those videos, the device comes equipped with a 3.5-inch color TFT display, as well as a built-in speaker. Plus, if you're tired of your old music, you can always start up the built-in FM tuner, and even record your own voice via the included microphone. For storage, the PMP uses either the internal memory module (4GB and 8GB versions will be released) or the microSD card slot, which supports memory cards with capacities of up to 16GB.
Visual Land has not provided any pricing details for the V-Sport, at least for the time being, but given the features listed above, it's safe to say that this thing will come at a pretty decent price point, especially suited for this rather slow sales period in consumer electronics.
