Booq is the company that manufactured the wacky-titled iPad protection solution, as part of their Taipan series. This new sage-storage solution for Apple's larger iPhone is meant to be used with iPads already stored in other bags, backpacks, while offering protection against other objects found in them.

“Most protective accessories for the iPad have followed the same design as an iPhone case or other mobile device,” says Jake Orak, head of product design & development for Booq bags. “An open face case design is great when you’re using the iPad, but leaves the screen exposed when carrying the iPad in another bag, backpack, or purse. Along with booq’s sleek black & red color design, we’ve unveiled a […] new berry color and a silver & turquoise combination that appeals to men and women. […] People are looking to protect their investment in a way that maintains it’s slim and creative design. Taipan spacesuit XS matches the style and high quality of the device itself, while protecting the iPad wherever you take it.”

Silky-smooth on the outside, but also soft on the inside, the Taipan Spacesuit XS seems to have everything an iPad needs in order to feel entirely safe in it. It even has two high-performance YKK zippers, for extra convenience and there's also a jersey trim barrier between them and the interior of the sleeve. Also on the interior and as an extra scratch precaution, the manufactures have sewn non-scratch lining, which covers the gadget while housed inside.

The exterior of the Taipan Spacesuit XS is made out of 3 mm neoprene that should act as a cushion when the user drops their “precious” gimmick. Covered by Booq's 5-year warranty, the Taipan Spacesuit XS costs $29.95. Word on the street is that only after you actually purchase it, will you start seeing the resemblance between a spacesuit and this accessory.
