In general, when a company announces the launch of a certain product, they also provide specific pricing and/or availability data for the respective device/product/service, etc. Or, if that's not the case right from the start, they do so at a later date. But rarely (in fact, almost never) have I seen a company announce the date at which they'll release another piece of information regarding a future product.
That might sound a bit complicated (and in fact, it sort of is), but that's exactly what
Nintendo did regarding their future
3D handheld gaming console, the 3DS. So, as Slashgear informs us, the Yasushi Hiroshi Minagawa, when taking to Bloomberg's Japanese branch, revealed the fact that Nintendo is going to make a big announcement on September 29'th, most likely related to their future gaming console.
Of course, the Japanese official hasn't really put the finger on it, but that will most likely be the subject of this announcement, but it's quite likely that he was referring to the new 3DS. And Nintendo should really hurry up with this one, since it's last quarter wasn't a particular successful one, and they desperately need a
product that will bring them back to the position they occupied back when the Wii was the hottest console around.
