We're pretty sure that Nokia's preparing quite a few tricks for its event in Barcelona, which will take place in roughly the same time frame as the much larger MWC (mobile world congress), while having nothing to do with it, as Nokia has decided that it won't be a part of the aforementioned tradeshow anymore.
But up until then,
Nokia's keeping us busy with other announcements, such as the product we'll talk about as follows, namely their Nokia 6303i classic. The handset, which has just been officially unveiled, represents an upgrade of the 6303, but don't expect any miracles here, just some minor improvements.
The fresh mobile phone will be available in either silver or khaki
gold and will feature a seriously improved battery pack, enabling up to eight hours of calls. It’s also capable of letting one listen to around 30 hours of music via its built-in music player and FM radio, and will last for over three weeks on standby.
The device will also sport a couple of interesting improvements in the field of social networking, since it will support instant messaging. Plus, it will have a 3.2-megapixel camera with dual LED flash, which will make it particularly interesting for taking photos that can be later on uploaded to one of the user's various profiles (because, after all, there are so many social networking services available out there that it's sometimes a bit difficult to keep track of all of them).
The brand-new
Nokia 6303i Classic is scheduled to start shipping in select markets this quarter, with pricing being a very interesting one, namely just around 105 Euro, before any subsidies. Pretty cool, for a phone that will surely prove quite attractive for quite a few users, especially on the emerging markets.
We are just a few, but there are many of you, Softpedia users, out there.
