Finding the exact niche that any product should target is an extremely important phase in the marketing process, and should be very carefully considered even before starting the design. Moreover, in many situations, the trends in customers' preferences differ a lot around the world, and for this reason, some products only see the light of day on certain markets.
This might also be the case with some of the latest earphones from Panasonic, namely the RP-HJF5 Moon Jewel, which have been designed mostly for the Japanese market in general and Japanese women in particular, as they feature a couple of crystals embedded in their plastic cases.
The RP-HJF5 Moon Jewel series is available in several color versions, namely red, blue, green, gold, black, as well as different shades of the aforementioned colors. Moreover, the crystals, embedded in the outer areas, are quite visible even when the earphones are in use, which means that they can also easily double as fashion accessories.
Now, leaving aside the design issues for a second, let's move on to the actual technical specs that characterize the RP-HJF5. Hence, the earphones feature a 10-mm diameter driver, providing a frequency response of 20 Hz - 20,000 Hz. Moreover, they support a power input of 200 mW and deliver a sensitivity level of 102 db/mW at 1 kHz, with the impedance being rated at 16 ohms.
It's also important to note that the earphones are accompanied by a 1.2-meter cable, which ends in a 3.5-mm (1.8-inch) gold-plated connector, thus ensuring a higher level of audio accuracy for the songs being played, regardless of the source.
The RP-HJF5 Moon Jewel earphones from Panasonic sell for around 3,900 Japanese Yen (or roughly 40 US dollars), which is a pretty good price point, especially taking into account the fact that they are also fashion-related.
