When it comes down to Pioneer, great audio quality is pretty much a given, but this is one manufacturer that wants to be known for more then just that, their latest limited edition HDJ-1000 professional DJ headphones promising to make a fashion statement as well as providing its users with a more effective mixing experience.
Although I am not that crazy about that black and gold paintjob that Pioneer think is so cool, I have to admit these come with some pretty
impressive specs, since the HDJ-1000 headphones were tuned to deliver more impact in the lower bass frequencies thanks to their thick 38 micrometers diaphragm and 1.5 mm voice coils.
Furthermore, Pioneer has also tuned the mono/stereo selector circuit in order to obtain clearer playback, especially in the midrange frequencies and, as a result to that, these headphones can deliver much more impact when it comes to sounds like those produced by bass drums, snare drums or cymbals.
“Much like our players and mixers, Pioneer
headphones are designed for both style and performance.
We have a versatile line-up of headphones that are sure to complement many DJ levels.
The new HDJ-1000s will not only catch your eye, but also please your ears,” said David Arevalo, senior marketing manager, Professional Sound and Visual Division for
Pioneer Electronics.
Available also in chrome, these two limited edition headphones will be available in December 2010 for $209, not a bad price if you consider their impressive sound quality (or if gold is your thing).
