Looking good!

You must agree that watching a movie featuring a not-so-good sound spoils all the fun. Especially if you have a nice Blu-ray Disc playing home theater rig but no A/V receiver to match your device. The new Elite A/V Receivers from Pioneer are just the thing for you, my audiophile friend.

But first a word from David Bales, manager of audio marketing and product planning for Pioneer Electronics Inc., “Our new Elite models deliver remarkable sound quality directly resulting from our collaboration with AIR Studios, which has allowed us to better understand the artistic vision of the studio professional and deliver the emotional impact they imagined for cinema and home audiences alike.”

Bales adds that “By working with THX, we are able to ensure these A/V receivers meet the performance requirements needed to recreate the movie theater experience in the home with faithful reproduction of multi-channel soundtracks. Pioneer believes the A/V receiver is the heart of the home theater experience, and our longstanding relationships with these experts reaffirm our passion to bring studio-quality sound with power and precision to the home entertainment experience.”

Boy, that was a long quote! The devices have multi-room and multi-source capabilities, dual HDMI outputs so as to show your media onto two devices at the same time, a detachable power cord and an RS232 port for PC, plus third-party control protocols and modules. The Elite VSX-21TXH and VSX-23TXH start shipping this month with a MSRP of 700 USD and 900 USD, respectively, while the SC-25TXH and the SC-27 are due to ship in August 2009 with the suggested pricing of 1,700 USD and 2,000 USD, respectively.
