OK, a few days ago, we could read about the rumors that started around the new motion controller, which is very Wii Nunchuk-like, but built for the Sony PS3. Although back in the day, Nintendo was the only company that provided such technology for its users and the PS and Xbox fans all laughed at the way Wii fans enjoyed their favorite console, now they have the new PlayStation Move Motion controller to use together with the PS3, which has been announced for this fall.
Of course, you wouldn't expect it to be exactly like the Nunchuk, now would you? Besides the exterior design, which I am not going to discuss here because there might be children reading this, the PS3 Move uses a little technology called wireless to track the movements of the player and (of course), the PS Eye camera.
Because of this, Sony says that it will be very precise and that you will be able to enjoy some of the most complex games with the Move. Even RPGs. It also comes with a sub-controller and there will be games for which players will have to use both controllers at the same time.
The Move controller does not have to be used together with its sub-controller, as Sony says that a Dualshock or a SIXAXIS wireless controller can be employed as well and this will definitely give users fun and captivating gaming opportunities. The Move is built with a three-axis gyroscope, a three-axis accelerometer and a terrestrial magnetic field sensor.
The colored sphere you can definitely see on the controller's top end changes its color so that it can be tracked by the PS Eye camera. Because the camera is able to also capture video and audio from users, the PS3 will offer new ways to interact with your friends online, with the help of the Move controller as well.
For the moment, 36 developers have started building upon the Move new controller for the PS3 and, yes, all major ones are there, so there will be a lot of titles that will give the gaming gadget a boost in popularity, which explains some of the pieces of news we read yesterday. You will be able to get the fresh Move controller in a few different ways and there is even an under $100 starter kit.
We are just a few, but there are many of you, Softpedia users, out there. That's why we thought it would be a good idea to create an email address for you to help us a little in finding gadgets we missed. Interesting links are bound to be posted with recognition going mainly to those who submit. The address is .
