When it comes down to factory overclocked graphics cards there is always a company out there that wants to push performance past everything that is available on the market, Point of View deciding to do just that when it designed the GTX 480 Beast edition that comes with a full length water cooler built by Innovatek in order to decrease the operating temperatures and provide users with one of the fastest GF100 solutions available.

Since the GPUs are hand-selected, POV is able to clock the core of its GTX 480 offering at an impressive 810MHz (110MHz more then the stock GF100 core) while also overclocking the GGDR5 memory to reach 3800MHz.

But that is not all, since POV also promises this card will be able to provide users with additional headroom when it comes down to overclocking, depending on the local cooling environment and ventilation.

What this basically means is the Beast will perform differently, depending on how powerful your watercooling setup is, users with dual or triple fan radiators having a better chance of topping the overclocking potential of this card.

While we are talking about different watercooling solutions I have to mention that aluminum and cooper really don't mix so if you plan on using this inside a loop that also has cooper waterblocks you may be heading into a world full of trouble.

Anyway, I have to admit that I am not that impressed by the Innovatek build watercooling system since I don't see this as able to compete with other third party waterblocks available for the GTX 480, this being the case with pretty much all the other factory watercooled graphics cards available.

Pricing details haven't been made official yet, but such solutions usually come with a pretty hefty price premium, so this Beast will surely set you back quite a decent amount of money.
