Polar, one of the leaders in heart rate monitoring and fitness assessment technology, has just announced having launched the CS500, which is a new cycling computer, claimed to be the first in the industry to provide customers with rocker switch operation, as well as a chic, extra large display screen.

This, the company informs first, is also compatible with their wireless Power Output Sensor W.I.N.D., enabling feeback for the rider to take into consideration his or her cycling power, and thus improve his or her professional training. It is said that event cyclists have long awaited for a cycling computer with easier button-pushing and a display large enough to read at a glimpse, definitely demanded for riding at high speeds.

Built for the competition rider, the CS500 mixes the company's precise heart rate technology with advanced cycling features, capable of tracking speed, distance, cadence, heart rate, calories burned, and that's about what common cycling computers provide, yet the CS500 monitors and logs inclination, altitude, ascent and descent, as well as temperature.
