I guess it's not worth mentioning just how useful a portable charging solution might prove to be for most smartphone power users out there, especially since some of the latest such advanced communication devices to arrive on the market seem to have a fairly big problem as far as the available battery life is concerned (and I'm referring mostly to Android smartphones here).
Unfortunately, since these portable devices don't have a
standardized charging interface, finding a product that works with all of them is a pretty daunting task. Or at least it was before coming across the PhoneSuit Primo Battery Cube.
The Battery Cube is an ultra-compact
rechargeable battery pack that can provide instant power to one's BlackBerry, Android-based smartphone and more. In fact, the manufacturers go as far as claiming this thing will work with around 95 percent of the handsets currently available on the market.
The secret of the Cube is directly related to its Micro-USB and Mini-USB connectors, which support new and legacy mobile phone charging standards. Furthermore, the rotating connector tips fold out from the rear of the Cube, making this thing even more versatile to use.
Charging the Primo is a simple process, since one will just have to use the included Micro-USB cable and plug into any USB 2.0 or 1.1 compatible outlet. The Primo Cube also features an LED battery charge meter to display the battery's remaining capacity, the 4 point red LED’s displaying the remaining charge in 25% increments.
The PhoneSuit Primo Battery Cube will sell for around $40 when it becomes officially available on July 12, which will make the tiny
power pack interesting enough for most smartphone users out there.
