Living in space-challenged homes makes it tough for a lot of people to decorate according to their own sense of style. Finding the perfect furniture, both stylish and practical seems like mission impossible most of the times, despite the fact that more and more designers have started to address this issue in the recent years.
Nevertheless, there seems to be a catch to all the modern, and shape-shifting furniture, especially made for small homes, namely, it's quite expensive. And taking into consideration the fact that people living in small spaces don't usually have a lot of money, there are low chances that they actually get their hands on such items.
One such piece of furniture is the Push Up Table, designed by Chris Murphy, a sci-fi like metallic spider that can adjust according to your liking. The flexible table is made of aluminum, glass and silicon tube, which alters its height (from 350mm - 500mm) to suit different users and occasions. The two-in-one table draws inspiration from a retractable ballpoint pen. All that users have to do is push the table down until it clicks into place, while another press down will bring it back to the previous position.
The Push Up Table is an ideal piece of furniture for small apartments where it can perform the work of two tables while occupying limited space. The combination of glass, silicon and metal looks extremely appealing, making it a great acquisition for a modern home. However, there's a drawback to it, namely its rather exaggerated price tag, of 5,000 pounds, or differently put, about 7,200 US dollars.
So, if you can't afford but a small apartment that really gives you headaches to decorate, maybe the Push Up Table is not exactly right for you and you should be looking for something cheaper.
