I know that for the most of you owning a wired mouse seems like a really primitive thing to do, but there are some hard core gamers out there that wouldn't want their mouse any other way, specially for them Razer designing the Mouse Bungee, promising to eliminate mouse cord snags, drag and tangles.
If these device may look familiar to you that's because Mouse Bungees have been available for quite some time now, although Ed Larkin, the person behind these products, has just joined
Razer, this being their first Bungee to hit the streets.
Moving on, there aren't that many things to report about the Bungee since this is actually a pretty simple device, that features a stable base plate with 3 non-slip and non-scratch feet and a dual/parallel suspension springs in order to raise the mouse cord off the desk surface, giving users the feel of a wireless mouse without the lag that is associated with such devices (although I can't say there isn't much lag to talk about in present day
wireless gaming mice).
"I fondly remember playing the original Quake with my Mouse Bungee and I loved not having to deal with
tangling wires anymore.
It was a simple but innovative solution to a problem common to so many gamers" says Min-Liang Tan, CEO & Creative Director of Razer
"I'm proud to have a talent like Ed on our team and am excited about the ideas and inspiration he will bring on board."
The Mouse Bungee will hit retail somewhere in Q4 2010 and although pricing hasn't been set yet, I am more then sure this will carry the usual Razer price premium.
