Besides the HD video trend that I keep talking about for a few days, another quickly growing trend seems to be that of portable chargers,
like the one I wrote about earlier, or just plain adapter chargers. To provide its users with a completely new level of functionality, versatility and comfort, Emerge Technologies has just introduced the ReTrak 4-in-1 Charge & Sync for iPhone and other mobile devices alike.
This flexible combo unit offered by the company can shift its shape in order to charge your devices in the car, from a wall outlet and just as well directly from the computer. Embedded with two USB ports, the charger allows users to simultaneously charge multiple devices, while the retractable USB 2.0 cable serves the sync process with a PC.
ReTrak combos are also available for mobile phones, Zune, Sansa and even the Nintendo DS family of gaming consoles. Each and every model from Emerge is provided with the charger unit, as well as a USB cable that will sport the appropriate connection for each device. More detailed specs about this unit would include the maximum of 1.2 amperes charging power throughout the two USB ports, the foldable wall plugs and car adapter plug cover and the
already mentioned USB 2.0 retractable sync / power cable.
It seems that Emerge has all the necessary plug connector for charging iPods, iPhones (including the 3GS), most mobile phones including those with new micro USB models, Zune and Zune HD, Sansa, Philips, Archos and Nintendo DS, but by some odd reason, it states that GPS and Bluetooth charging adapters will become available soon. Either it's the fact that it needs the approval of the given manufacturers or just that the company didn't have all its products ready on time.
Available already at major retailers, the ReTrak 4-in-1 Combo charger has a price of $24.99.
