The last eyewear device that I remember telling you folks about was that underwater facemask, I guess, but this time, things got better. This is the Sportsman 440 Video Recoder - Digital Camera that has quite decent specifications, given the size. The Sportsman 440 eyewear can capture still images at a maximum resolution of 3 megapixels, whereas video will be recorded in 720 x 480 pixels (the size of the image to your left).

Continuing with the technical specifications, I should also mention the maximum picture size, as in 1,280 x 1,024, which allows customers to have enough height to comfortably crop from getting 720p pictures for embedding into video content.

Now that I think about it, I guess one could also up-size the videos recorded with the Sportsman 440, crop them and end up with 720p video content, but since the manufacturer did not mention the codes used, file format, frame rate or compression, I cannot be sure whether the quality will be decent after up-sizing.

Next on the short spec sheet is the 4GB micro SD compliance that will store about 2 hours of video content, and definitely more pictures than one can take in a day. The eyewear packs a rechargeable lithium polymer battery for power, and even ships with bundled home and vehicle power adapters. Unloading what you capture, you just have to connect these to your computer, either PC or Mac, and copy files like from a flash drive, needing no software or drivers.

For the price of $269, customers that are fond of this will be supplied with polarized, yellow or clear lenses, as well as a hard case, microfiber lens cloth and a neoprene strap, while for $29 more, they will also get an extended warranty. That being said, I can only wish you happy jogging.
