If back when I was a kid games were mostly outdoor type, like hide and seek and others. Video games were barely starting to get enhanced in such a manner that today they are addicting and scarier than a lot of movies. Taking cycling into account, the next natural step will be taking games outdoors again. And that's exactly what Swinx, a Dutch game system, did.

They designed the system for active games, playable both inside and outdoors. The games system is composed from the Swinx itself and XS-TAGs. The console can speak, can recognize, encourage and explain games. It acts as a referee as well and it's easy to take along in the park, due to its light, compact design and sustainable battery.

The XS-TAG is a fun and colorful armband that contains microchips and communicates with the consoles. Each player gets a band of their own, that can start games and keep track of the player's profile and scores. The XS band shows who the player is and that he likes to play with his friends. Up to 10 players are supported.

The Swinx is sure not to get boring. It will teach your kids games they have forgotten or never heard of from the start. Not only teach them, but it will take the games to a next level. No more supervising needed, since the Swinx acts as a referee, so children won't argue anymore. Hide and seek was never this good and even more, completely safe. It's, of course, a game for at least two players. Every player gets one minute to hide his tag after which they have to find someone else's tag as fast as they can and register it to the console. The player who's tag gets found last wins. They have less chances to trip while running that way.

You can find this online for the of $175.00, which isn't at all that much, thinking that it comes with ten pre-installed games and you can download others for free from their website.

We are just a few, but there are many of you, Softpedia users, out there.
