One of the main reasons that multifunctional laser printers are not dominating the market and are still fighting with their ink jet using siblings is the fact that most are very expensive, especially if you're conducting a small to medium business.

Samsung has recently rolled out SCX-5635FN, SCX series model, a laser printer for small to medium businesses, the types of businesses that are more concerned with performance and affordability. The SCX-5635FN Network-Ready Multifunction Laser Printer is user-friendly, jam-free and meant for high-output printing.

Designed to operate with minimal maintenance and operating costs, this device is priced at around 500 USD. Of course, Mr. JH Kim, President, Information Technology Division, Samsung Electronics America Inc., had something to say about this, “With over 70% of the businesses falling into the small-to-medium category, comprising of less than 500 employees, our printers are reliable, cost-effective and capable of performing in these demanding environments [...] Like most of our Multifunction Laser Printers, the SCX-5635FN is full featured, providing the functionality, reliability and value our customers are looking for, especially ones that are concerned about keeping their costs down.”

The printer has a maximum 80.000 pages monthly duty cycle, prints up to 35 pages per minute and printing costs are around 1.6 cents per page (which is a good thing if you're planning to promote your device during an economic crisis). You will also be offered two toner cartridge yields. Its 360 MHz CPU and 128MB of memory will make sure print jobs will be hassle free even if the printing demands are extensive. And to minimize reloading, a 250 sheet paper tray will also be made available as an option.

There are not many printers that have all the high end features and print quality with our price, which is ideal for businesses that are watching their bottom line”.
