As you've been able to see for yourselves, Samsung's been very seriously promoting its Galaxy S series of Android smartphones lately, the company making a very strong push in this direction especially across the US. However, it would seem that the Korean CE behemoth might have some even more impressive goodies lined-up for the future, including a successor to the current
Galaxy S series that will take everything to a whole new level.
As the
UnwiredView reports, it seems that information regarding this handset, known as the Galaxy S2 i9200, has found its way to some Russian forums, although these bits and pieces of tech specs (plus the enclosed photo) are not really verified in any way. But even if this info is not completely genuine, it sure is cool.
So, the handset will apparently come equipped with 4.3-inch 1,280 x 720 Super AMOLED display with around 340 pixels per inch, but also with a whopping 2GHz CPU, accompanied by 1GB of RAM and a 4GB ROM, together with 32GB of flash storage and a microSD card slot. The device will also sport an advanced
camera module (8-megapixels, Full HD 1080p video recording capabilities), Wi-Fi module, A-GPS, accelerometer, gyroscope, ambient light sensors, etc. Naturally, it will go way beyond Froyo, running the next Android iteration, known as Gingerbread.
Of course, for the time being, it's perhaps for the best to take this with a serious pinch of salt (some of those specs are really a bit exaggerated, as far as we're concerned), but it's very likely that at least some of them will prove to be true, taking into account
Samsung's current offerings.
