Commercial displays have never been on the affordable side and those that did had lower prices and came with a catch such as low specs and so on. After its recent streak of launches, Samsung has just announced a new lineup of affordable Full HD commercial displays. Read on for more interesting details.
This new series is dubbed FP-2 and includes 40-inch and 46-inch Full HD displays that are being offered in two different versions with or without embedded PCs. Those versions are 400FP-2, 400FPn-2, 460FP-2 and 460FPn-2. They promise to give users 1920 x 1080 resolution, as well as being able to withstand 16 hours, seven days a week usage.
Mr. J.H. Kim, President, Information Technology Division, Samsung Electronics America Inc., had a lot to say about these displays, “Samsung is recognized for displays that feature best-in-class picture and reliability. We are proud to announce our latest commercial offering which is designed to help customers who have not been able to utilize digital signage in the past because of the cost-of-entry. […] However, we recognized that a commercial installation deserves a commercial-grade display built to withstand environmental factors that consumer-grade TVs are not designed to handle.”
The FP-2 Series offers 178/178 degrees viewing angles, as well as 4.000:1 static contrast ratio and a dynamic contrast ratio of 40.000:1 and a response rate of 8ms. Kevin Schroll, Senior Product Marketing Manager, Information Technology Division, Samsung Electronics America Inc., declared that “The FP-2 Series is ideal for those looking for a balance of cost, quality, performance and reliability. [...] We recognized a need for more affordable commercial-grade displays that will allow most businesses to install digital signage without sacrificing reliability and image quality.”
As for pricing, it starts at 1,175 USD for the 400FP-2, and 1,646 USD for the 460-FP2.
