Don't know how many of you
are searching for a large venue projector, but Sanyo's latest
PLC-HF10000L really does sound like a beast of a projector with its
above Full HD resolution and 10,000 lumen brightness, although its
prohibitive $34,995 price tag means you won't see many of these in a
home cinema setup near you anytime soon.
But we can't hold that
against it, since this wasn't designed for such a use in the first
place, although a Real 2K (2048x1080 pixels) resolution projector is
certainly something every home cinema buff out there would want to have.
Apart from the high
resolution, Sanyo also added a bunch of other innovative technologies
to this 3LCD projector like a yellow color control device (to the
already available red, green and blue elements) that automatically
controls the amount of yellow light in the image to improve color
accuracy, produce a wider color gamut and enable higher brightness
levels.
The PLC-HF10000L comes
with a 3,000:1 contrast ratio, a wide selection of fixed and zoom
lenses in standard, wide and long configurations while also being
capable of displaying two images simultaneously in either
picture-in-picture or picture-by-picture modes.
When additional projectors
are required, such as when needed to create an extremely large image,
its Color Matching and Edge Blending features would definitely come
in handy, allowing multiple images to be presented on the same screen
without sharply defined borders or variations in hue.
"
Sanyo QuaDrive
technology combined with Real 2K resolution allows us to offer
extremely high value in the large-format projector market with an
amazing 10,000 ANSI lumens of brightness and widescreen
presentation," stated Sam Malik, Vice President of Sanyo's
Digital Solutions Division, and General Manager of the Corporate
Solutions Group.
"We are offering a
compelling reason for operators of large venues and the rental and
staging companies to upgrade to the latest technology by having a
product that offers a very low lifetime total cost of ownership and
being priced to be extremely competitive for projectors with similar
brightness."
All in all, this really
sounds like one of the best
large venue projector available right
now, although I can hardly wait for the time when 2K Resolution will
become standard for top of the line home cinema setups.
