Without a doubt, there's something simply special about all of those Japanese-inspired handsets out there, and that's also the case with the brand-new Sanyo Innuendo by Kyocera, which manages to combine some pretty interesting design gimmicks with full feature phone functionality.
The Innuendo sports an elegant, high-gloss blue finish and, when in use, a unique glow-thru dial pad and sub-display come to life and the phone opens to reveal a vivid 2.8-inch WQVGA internal display with full QWERTY keypad and quick access to customized features.
The handset’s external dial pad and OLED display glow through the external mirrored surface, then “disappear” when not in use.
A proximity sensor automatically disables the external keys when close to the face to prevent accidental dialing.
The phone also delivers other interesting features such as a music player, 3.2 MP camera and video camcorder plus threaded text and picture messaging and “push” email from the most popular services.
“In designing Innuendo, we took our very popular Sanyo Incognito and improved on it in every way,” said Yasuhiro Oishi, vice president of sales & marketing at Kyocera Communications Inc.
“The glow-thru keypad is striking as it comes to life and activates a phone that elegantly blends fashion and style with entertainment, messaging and social networking.
This is a powerhouse phone at a fantastic price,” Kyocera's official concluded.
Innuendo is available in all Sprint retail channels for just $49.99 with a new line or eligible upgrade, two-year service agreement, after a $50 mail-in rebate (taxes excluded).
