Since a major consumer electronics trade show such as IFA is a very good opportunity for rolling out some new and improved products, Sennheiser has decided that it was about time to offer some interesting additions to its lineup and introduced the PX 90 and PMX 90 mini headphones, specially designed for use with MP3 players, iPods and other portable players.
According to Sennheiser, the headphones have an ergonomic design ensuring that they fit securely at all times and stay in place no matter how fast you move.
The PX 90 is a headband model equipped with a sturdy but nevertheless flexible metal headband, while the PMX 90 features a
comfortable neckband and a single-sided cable that offers the user excellent freedom of movement.
“Weighing just 52 and 90 grams, the two new models are ultra-light, making them comfortable to wear even after hours of use,” explained product manager Rajender Mogili.
Both mini headphones provide a detailed sound image with punchy bass, their frequency response ranging from 20 to 20,000 Hertz and the sound pressure level (SPL) being set at 108 dB (1 kHz / 1 Veff).
Furthermore, the impedance level for these headphones has been set at 32 ohms, while the THD, total harmonic distortion, us below 0.5 %.
The
new headphones from Sennheise sport a 3.5 mm right-angled jack plug and 1.2 m two-sided, symmetrical cable (PX 90) and single-sided cable (PMX 90).
The PX 90 and PMX 90 will be supplied to Sennheiser's sales partners from September, with pricing details depending on the characteristics of the local markets.
