Intel's latest line of high-end processors, the now famous Core i7 series, are known for their relatively large size, compared to the chip maker's previous generation of Core 2 Duo CPUs.
This is one of the main reasons why some wouldn't expect these new LGA1366-compatible processors to be featured in some of the latest small form factor PCs.
However, the fellows over at Shuttle PC have put their experience with SFF computer systems to good use, rolling out a new system that provides users with the performance capabilities of Intel's high-end Nehalem processors.
The latest XPC H5 5800 PC takes performance to a new level, one that can fit more room environments, thanks to the adoption of a smaller PC case and a X58-based motherboard.
Ready for Intel's latest line of Core i7 processors, including the newly released Core i7 975, the new desktop PC can be equipped with up to 16GB of DDR3 memory, 3TB of storage space and some of the latest graphics cards available on the market, from both NVIDIA and ATI.
Additional options include a series of connectivity options, featured on the backpanel of the system and a 500W power supply, for power-efficient performance.
“With Shuttle’s new H7 5800, you are sure to get extreme performance in one of the world’s smallest cubes,” said Nicolas Villalobos, Product Manager at Shuttle Computer Group. “And now, with our new I.C.Evo heat pipe, you are guaranteed performance and exceptional cooling.”
The new XPC H5 5800 PC builds on the vendor's experience with the appreciated SX58H7 system, which also packs a Core i7 processor inside an SFF chassis. However, the new design comes with the fresh I.C.Evo (Integrated Cooling Evolution) heat pipe, featuring the company's latest Vapor Chamber technology, which is said to deliver an enhanced cooling effect. However, as you can expect from almost any Core i7-based computer system, this new PC doesn't come cheap, as the MSRP has been set at $2,149.
