I don't know how many of you knew that Siemens was involved in designed and building medical products, but the company has a really strong presence in that sector, its latest miniTek device built for the hearing impaired being one pretty impressive streaming solution since can send sounds from your favorite audio devices wirelessly to your hearing instruments.
Even more impressive about the miniTek is its ability to be connected to virtually every audio source out there, being a TV, a phone or a laptop, this device coming with a 2.5mm jack input as well as Bluetooth capabilities,
Siemens stating this is compatible with all third-party Bluetooth solutions.
Furthermore, the miniTek can also joggle between multiple audio sources, additional Tek transmitters being available for purchase if you want to do so, while it also includes a built-in T-coil that can stream sound from induction loops commonly found in theaters and places of worship.
On the other end, the sound is transmitted to your
hearing aids thanks to the e2e wireless 2.0 technology that brings true stereo sound, up to 10 meters away from the device, the miniTek being compatible with a large series of Siemens hearing instruments, even CIC (
Completely-In-the-Canal) ones.
And this is not all sine at only 55g, this stylish unit is also easy to carry around with you, Siemens promising up to 5 hours of battery life, charge time being estimated at about three hours.
Unfortunately, Siemens did not let us know how much they are going to charge for the miniTek although I don't expect it to come cheap since this is a medical product after all.
