Skyhook Wireless, the very provider of the Core Location Platform, has announced recently that Samsung will be deploying their technology throughout several Samsung mobile devices. Samung Wave, namely the S8500 model, will be the first that will embed Skyhook algorithms, and will provide customers a much better experience with location-aware applications.

Location-aware software will be faster, more precise and clearly more reliable by using geo-location, which stands at the base of many mobile innovations and is one of the fundamental technology for several emerging mobile services. Having a precise location capability, the enabled mobile device can allow users to find close concert halls, exhibitions or just get precise directions to their destination of choice.
